If Z is the equivalent parallel impedance then, 1 Z  =  1 Z 1 + 1 Z 2
Z =    Ω V =   Voltage Volts I =   V Z  =     Amp I 1  =     Amp I 2  =     Amp
Verify that    I =  I 1 + I 2

If there are many impedances Z1, Z2, Z3 ....... Zn connected in parallel and Z is the equivalent impedance, then
