The general form of a sinusoidal wave is

Y = A Sin (ωt + φ)

A is the amplitude of the wave, that is the maximum value of the sinusoid wave

Angular frequency ω = 2πf

Where f is the frequency of the wave.

φ is the phase angle of the wave

(In electrical engineering the phase angle is usually expressed in degree)
